Post Of Senior DBA (MS SQL / ORACLE)

Responsibilities

This position is for either MS SQL DBAs or Oracle DBAs. You will be responsible for the architecture, design and operational support of our logical model, physical database and supporting infrastructure. The successful candidate will have experience as a design DBA as well as an operational DBA. We are growing by leaps and bounds so you should be ready to use your performance tuning expertise and to use your replication experience to manage our multi-master replication.

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive data model.
  • Performance tune database schema and work with developers to build efficient use of the database within their code.
  • Design and deploy a partitioning clustering strategy to spread database load across several servers.
  • Evangelize and educate development team on database best practices.
  • Maintain development and test environments that mimic our production environment.
  • Work with our operations team to maintain an effective backup and recover strategy.
  • Work with development teams for application and query optimization, index tuning, caching and buffer tuning.
  • Perform database health monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Research and explore new database technologies.

Requirements

  • At least 3-4 years of industry experience
  • Expert working knowledge of SQL, T-SQL and PL/SQL
  • Expert working knowledge of high volume SQL database administration
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Activity Directory
  • Strong working knowledge of replication mechanisms
  • Strong working knowledge of DB backup, recovery, and optimization techniques
  • Strong working knowledge of system and application performance tuning
  • Strong working knowledge of logical design and ERD modeling
  • Good communication skills in English
MCDBA / Oracle DBA Certification is preferredGood communication skills in English
